In the 12th minute, Tibaut Goffeyn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sven Verhasselt scored 1-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ferdinand Deswarte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thomas Isemborgh got free with Roel Eggermont in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of KB Les Mauves FC booed when KVWZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renzo Vanbuyten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferdinand Deswarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tran Van Menen in the 19th minute of the match. Tibaut Goffeyn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Roel Eggermont made a huge save. 24 minutes into the match, Horacio Ontañon notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of KVWZ's Ferdinand Deswarte. Ferdinand Deswarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 28 minutes into the match, KVWZ's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Ontañon came free, but Ferdinand Deswarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tibaut Goffeyn charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tibaut Goffeyn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, KVWZ's Tibaut Goffeyn got a free kick in the 29th minute. KVWZ's Ferdinand Deswarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Van Caenegem in the 32nd minute of play. After 32 minutes, Basiel De Maerschalckx mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KB Les Mauves FC and the KVWZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of KVWZ booed when KB Les Mauves FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basiel De Maerschalckx didn't get a good kick on the ball. KVWZ's Ferdinand Deswarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Schamp in the 38th minute of play. Gerard Van hoegaerde's late challenge caught a KB Les Mauves FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerard Van hoegaerde helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th minute, Gerard Van hoegaerde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Max Vander Plaetse in the 47th minute of play forced KVWZ's goalkeeper Ferdinand Deswarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The KVWZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KB Les Mauves FC were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Marnix Laurent made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of KVWZ booed when KB Les Mauves FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim-Jan Bogaerts didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Max Vander Plaetse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. KVWZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Sven Verhasselt scored to the left of an out of position Ferdinand Deswarte, making the score, 1-3. In the 68th minute Tibaut Goffeyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roel Eggermont saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 minutes of play, KVWZ's Tibaut Goffeyn made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roel Eggermont was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roel Eggermont showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tibaut Goffeyn, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Thomas Isemborgh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdinand Deswarte came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by KB Les Mauves FC's Lars Schamp. But to his dismay, Lars Schamp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. KVWZ's Ferdinand Deswarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save KVWZ from getting a goal against them. Ferdinand Deswarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Ontañon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roel Eggermont came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by KVWZ's Tomas Geraerts. But to his dismay, Tomas Geraerts quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-5. The referee felt a red card was in order, 91 minutes into the game, when Gerard Van hoegaerde put in a rough tackle. Ferdinand Deswarte had in the 93rdth minute some difficulties stopping Tran Van Menen's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Tran Van Menen did an outstanding performance 93 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 3-6 to the right of an irritated Ferdinand Deswarte in the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marnix Laurent in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roel Eggermont prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. KB Les Mauves FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
