After 3 played minutes, RSC Oordegem's Bart Van de Zande shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sam-Lucas De Backer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in RSC Oordegem reached it. Jonathan De Coninck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Renaud Van Beylen during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind RSC Oordegem's goalkeeper Kenn Uytterhoeven, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Stefaan Van Der Taelen's late challenge caught a ZwickRoell Sport Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stefaan Van Der Taelen helped the player get up and apologised. Claus Pelleman scored 1-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sam-Lucas De Backer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan Naets during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kenn Uytterhoeven stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artur Damião's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Kenn Uytterhoeven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan De Coninck, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Damião in the 31st minute of play forced RSC Oordegem's goalkeeper Kenn Uytterhoeven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute Artur Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenn Uytterhoeven saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Jannick Verschelde notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of RSC Oordegem's Kenn Uytterhoeven. Kenn Uytterhoeven was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 41 played minutes ZwickRoell Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Alan Naets. 44 minutes into the game, Artur Damião cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Kenn Uytterhoeven was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Artur Damião to make the kick off. Arsene Smets charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arsene Smets the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, ZwickRoell Sport Club's Arsene Smets got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Jonathan De Coninck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenn Uytterhoeven having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, ZwickRoell Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jannick Verschelde to maneuver through the defense. 72 minutes into the game, Gianni Rivera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Kenn Uytterhoeven was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Artur Damião blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kenn Uytterhoeven having to make a save. Ruben Ingelborgs struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Sam-Lucas De Backer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RSC Oordegem. In the 82nd match minute, ZwickRoell Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gianni Rivera to maneuver through the defense. If Jonathan De Coninck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When ZwickRoell Sport Club's Artur Damião in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye RSC Oordegem's goalie prevented a goal. Sam-Lucas De Backer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renaud Van Beylen in the 95th minute of play. ZwickRoell Sport Club walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
