In the 31st match minute, Koekelare MFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Valckx to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, Koekelare MFC's goal looked a bit too open when Stefaan Verhulst came free, but Paul Van Herendael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Paul Van Herendael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefaan Verhulst, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roni De Pauw in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paul Van Herendael saved Koekelare MFC from getting behind. 86 minutes into the match, Moalen's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastien Wouqier came free, but Cedrik Voorhof reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Roni De Pauw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Moalen fans cheered their team off the field, for while Koekelare MFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
