In the 3rd minute, Andries Cantillon sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and KVWZ's Ferdinand Deswarte didn't even have to move. In the 5th minute Yves Diericx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Deswarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mike Wijnants kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Cesar Krabbe made a precise shot to the right of Ferdinand Deswarte. KVWZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Klaes in the 11th minute of play forced KVWZ's goalkeeper Ferdinand Deswarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute, Quentin Cox hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Krabbe in the 17th minute of play forced KVWZ's goalkeeper Ferdinand Deswarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferdinand Deswarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesar Krabbe in the 20th minute of the match. Sven den Pelsmaeker yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. KVWZ's Ferdinand Deswarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesar Krabbe in the 26th minute of play. Janes Helsen kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cesar Krabbe in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferdinand Deswarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ferdinand Deswarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matteo Lauwers in the 41st minute of play. Luk Van Campenhout kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Cesar Krabbe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferdinand Deswarte. KVWZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cesar Krabbe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After the first half KV Ertvelde were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marnix Laurent stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sven den Pelsmaeker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marnix Laurent's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. The KVWZ fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when KVWZ's Marnix Laurent looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marnix Laurent in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven den Pelsmaeker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Marnix Laurent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. KVWZ's Marnix Laurent got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, KVWZ's goalkeeper Ferdinand Deswarte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dan Klaes. Ferdinand Deswarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesar Krabbe in the 68th minute of play. Yves Diericx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Ferdinand Deswarte made a huge save. 71 minutes into the match, KVWZ's goal looked a bit too open when Matteo Lauwers came free, but Ferdinand Deswarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferdinand Deswarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matteo Lauwers in the 72nd minute of the match. Ferdinand Deswarte was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Matteo Lauwers showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 72 minute of play. Ferdinand Deswarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesar Krabbe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marnix Laurent in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven den Pelsmaeker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ferdinand Deswarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Krabbe, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. KVWZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Yves Diericx scored to the left of an out of position Ferdinand Deswarte, making the score, 2-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Matteo Lauwers kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ferdinand Deswarte. That made the score 2-5 in the 90 minute of play. KV Ertvelde's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
