The referee ignored Koekelare MFC's protests and gave Sebastien Wouqier a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik-Jan Van De Look in the 39th minute of play forced RSC Oordegem's goalkeeper Kenn Uytterhoeven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paul Van Herendael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Ingelborgs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erik-Jan Van De Look made a kick off. Paul Van Herendael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claus Pelleman in the 72nd minute of play. Claus Pelleman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruben Ingelborgs got free with Paul Van Herendael in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
