Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joop Van Den Broek got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Stefaan Verhulst managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moalen's supporters rose to their feet, but Stefaan Verhulst was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erwin-Alexander Vrankx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hendrik-Jan Gillis hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Erwin-Alexander Vrankx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roni De Pauw in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of FC Leghem booed when Moalen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Volders didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moalen's Cedrik Voorhof played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joop Van Den Broek in the 13th minute of play. Fernand Dauwen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cedrik Voorhof having to interfere. In the 16thth minute of the game Roni De Pauw who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Leghem's Erwin-Alexander Vrankx was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stefaan Verhulst's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erwin-Alexander Vrankx read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfons Marrant got free with Cedrik Voorhof in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Joop Van Den Broek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roni De Pauw in the 31st minute of play forced FC Leghem's goalkeeper Erwin-Alexander Vrankx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Roni De Pauw had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erwin-Alexander Vrankx. FC Leghem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roni De Pauw was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to FC Leghem getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Andrez Bosbeeck hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roni De Pauw in the 37th minute of play forced FC Leghem's goalkeeper Erwin-Alexander Vrankx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Moalen's goalkeeper Cedrik Voorhof had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfons Marrant. FC Leghem's Erwin-Alexander Vrankx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefaan Verhulst in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute, FC Leghem's Freddy Vandommele seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Freddy Vandommele the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Leghem protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Freddy Vandommele had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 46th minute, one of FC Leghem:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Leghem. Roni De Pauw shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Roni De Pauw made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Moalen's Yens Herinckx slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erwin-Alexander Vrankx. That made the score 0-2 after 54 minutes of play. Alfons Marrant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cedrik Voorhof having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Andrez Bosbeeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yens Herinckx struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Erwin-Alexander Vrankx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moalen. Fabrice Gyselinckx's late challenge caught a Moalen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabrice Gyselinckx helped the player get up and apologised. Cedrik Voorhof showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfons Marrant, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfons Marrant in the 77th minute of play forced Moalen's goalkeeper Cedrik Voorhof to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrice Gyselinckx kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Cedrik Voorhof showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfons Marrant, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roni De Pauw ran back to his position shaking his head. Roni De Pauw let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 91st minute shot 0-3 at rihgt post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roni De Pauw in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erwin-Alexander Vrankx prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Alfons Marrant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Moalen left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Leghem.
