Dieter Steenberghs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute Dieter Steenberghs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bram De Block saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Retie's Ernest Van Eede got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute of the match Jim Wyns sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bert Nilis skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Ernest Van Eede managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Retie's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernest Van Eede was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bert Nilis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fabrice Mallaerts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Bert Nilis made a huge save. When Ernest Van Eede came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the SC Retie fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernest Van Eede couldn't finish the play. In the 87th match minute, SC Retie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sylvan Klopterop to maneuver through the defense. Bram De Block didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julien Toussain went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
