After a rather tough play, DOVO's Izak Louis got a free kick in the 4th minute. After having played for 6 minutes, Orville Darling managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nieuwpoort Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orville Darling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orville Darlings short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Gerrit Peers to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 17th minute, Nieuwpoort Club's Orville Darling dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Generoso Urbina hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Gerrit Peers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 27th match minute, DOVO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Izak Louis to maneuver through the defense. If Zelipe Sauca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerrit Peers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zelipe Sauca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Nieuwpoort Club's Zelipe Sauca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gerrit Peers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, DOVO's Izak Louis got a free kick in the 38th minute. Gerrit Peers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zelipe Sauca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Orville Darling's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerrit Peers was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orville Darling made a kick off. Orville Darling recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gerrit Peers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orville Darling in the 53rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orville Darling in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerrit Peers saved DOVO from getting behind. Frits Baele blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kevin Dawson having to make a save. Gerrit Peers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orville Darling, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The supporters of DOVO booed when Nieuwpoort Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Steckens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jannic Van de Poel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerrit Peers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zelipe Sauca's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. After a defensive mix-up in DOVO's zone, Binjamin Van Landschoot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerrit Peers came out of the goal and Binjamin Van Landschoot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Binjamin Van Landschoot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Gerrit Peers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. DOVO's Gerrit Peers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Binjamin Van Landschoot in the 78th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Orville Darling's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerrit Peers was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Nieuwpoort Club's Orville Darling got a free kick in the 88th minute. After a defensive mix-up in DOVO's zone, Zelipe Sauca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerrit Peers came out of the goal and Zelipe Sauca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute, Orville Darling left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nieuwpoort Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Nieuwpoort Club had played much better football throughout.
