Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ernest Van Eede kicked off to start the match. Tomm Caes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Bram De Block tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bram De Block stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomm Caes's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Tomm Caes notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SC Retie's Bram De Block. Bram De Block was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fabrice Mallaerts struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Brain Fierens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Retie. A collision led to SC Retie getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Gregory De Weijgaert hit a great ball. Bram De Block took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yens Herpoel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernest Van Eede during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ernest Van Eede kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. When Sylvan Klopterop fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Retie's protests and gave Sylvan Klopterop a yellow card for diving instead. If Joel Schouters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bram De Block took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomm Caes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 minutes of play, KV Rattendaal's Joel Schouters made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bram De Block was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, KV Rattendaal's Toon De Swert got a free kick in the 37th minute. Cederic De Wortelaers shot a long shot in the 38th minute and a light blocked Brain Fierens hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-2. SC Retie's Fabrice Mallaerts got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 42 minutes, Joel Schouters managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KV Rattendaal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Schouters was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Tomm Caes notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of SC Retie's Bram De Block. Bram De Block was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 48th minute Joel Schouters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bram De Block saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The SC Retie players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KV Rattendaal were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Schouters was the one to do the kick off. Cederic De Wortelaers kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Joel Schouters managed to get in a good position for a shot. KV Rattendaal's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Schouters was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bram De Block breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomm Caes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th match minute, SC Retie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Terry Van Meerbeek to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the game, Joel Schouters cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Bram De Block was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind KV Rattendaal's goalkeeper Brain Fierens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 65th match minute, KV Rattendaal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomm Caes to maneuver through the defense. 67 minutes into the game, Izak Snyers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KV Rattendaal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Retie the free kick. A collision led to KV Rattendaal getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Izak Snyers hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, KV Rattendaal's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrice Mallaerts came free, but Brain Fierens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Retie's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Joel Schouters scored to the left of an out of position Bram De Block, making the score, 2-5. Ernest Van Eede recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute, Ernest Van Eede got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stein Severens hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match.
