Spectators: 8029 (Terracing: 6023, Seating: 1846, VIP seats: 160) FC Flat Beat's Matijs Cremers started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, SC Retie's Bram De Block got control of the ball when Benny Theijs tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Matijs Cremers came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the FC Flat Beat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matijs Cremers couldn't finish the play. Toon De Middeleer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernest Van Eede in the 10th minute of the match. Fabrice Mallaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Toon De Middeleer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Matijs Cremers reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bram De Block. The goal made the score 1-0. Fabrice Mallaerts kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 25th match minute, SC Retie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nic Van Hallebeecke to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benny Theijs during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Benny Theijs hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, SC Retie's goalkeeper Bram De Block had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benny Theijs. In the 35th match minute, FC Flat Beat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tran Hendricks to maneuver through the defense. After 37 minutes, Jim Wyns mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Retie and the FC Flat Beat players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Flat Beat booed when SC Retie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jim Wyns didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sylvan Klopterop received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Toon De Middeleer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Flat Beat's Bjorn Switten got a free kick in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernest Van Eede to strike the kick off in the second half. Matijs Cremers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bram De Block having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Retie's zone, Matijs Cremers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bram De Block came out of the goal and Matijs Cremers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matijs Cremers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bram De Block having to interfere. Jim Wyns hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sylvan Klopterop during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Flat Beat booed when SC Retie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sylvan Klopterop didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matijs Cremers in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bram De Block prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bram De Block took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benny Theijs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sylvan Klopterop hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Toon De Middeleer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernest Van Eede in the 74th minute of the match. Fabrice Mallaerts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Toon De Middeleer made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Fabrice Mallaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Retie's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabrice Mallaerts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toon De Middeleer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Toon De Middeleer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernest Van Eede in the 91st minute of the match. Ernest Van Eede was extremely unlucky when he, in the 93rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Sylvan Klopterop got his second yellow card in the match during the 94th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 95 played minutes SC Retie got a freekick which was hit by Sylvan Klopterop. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Flat Beat fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Retie had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
