Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ernest Van Eede made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, SC Retie's goal looked a bit too open when Lennart Van den Haute came free, but Bram De Block reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Georges Kesters managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when SC Retie's Fabrice Mallaerts fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles-Louis Vrancken in the 7th minute of play forced SC Retie's goalkeeper Bram De Block to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute Emiel De Meesemaeckere suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 9 minutes, Sylvan Klopterop mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Retie and the AFC Schaarbeek players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sylvan Klopterop hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute Ernest Van Eede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georges Kesters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabrice Mallaerts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17thth minute of the game Ernest Van Eede who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC Schaarbeek's Georges Kesters was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th minute, Fabrice Mallaerts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ernest Van Eede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Terry Van Meerbeek hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Fabrice Mallaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Georges Kesters tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute Ernest Van Eede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georges Kesters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39 played minutes AFC Schaarbeek got a freekick which was hit by Charles-Louis Vrancken. AFC Schaarbeek's Georges Kesters proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save AFC Schaarbeek from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd minute, Ernest Van Eede got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of AFC Schaarbeek booed when SC Retie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sylvan Klopterop didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernt Humblets stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fabrice Mallaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georges Kesters having to interfere. After a rather tough play, AFC Schaarbeek's Andries de Pelsmacker got a free kick in the 57th minute. Georges Kesters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cederic De Wortelaers in the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th match minute, AFC Schaarbeek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles-Louis Vrancken to maneuver through the defense. Fabrice Mallaerts took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Georges Kesters. Georges Kesters dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Fabrice Mallaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georges Kesters having to interfere. SC Retie's Ernest Van Eede got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Georges Kesters didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabrice Mallaerts went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Georges Kesters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrice Mallaerts, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After some careless play in the AFC Schaarbeek defense, Ernest Van Eede kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georges Kesters. The AFC Schaarbeek fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georges Kesters should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Schaarbeek's zone, Fabrice Mallaerts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georges Kesters came out of the goal and Fabrice Mallaerts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ernest Van Eede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the SC Retie players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
