In the 46th minute, Waterhoek's Oswald Rymenans dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Elsens to make the kick off. After 55 minutes, Dan Schoenmakers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC De Sloverkes and the Waterhoek players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Waterhoek booed when FC De Sloverkes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Schoenmakers didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Waterhoek's Daniel Elsens tried to score from far away in the 56th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With 63 minutes on the clock, Jacques Buyck commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Waterhoek fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave FC De Sloverkes a penalty, 65 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lenny Blanchaert, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Waterhoek's Leo Van de Loock. 3-1. Lenny Blanchaert got a throw-in 70 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jonathan Jaspers. If Frederik Vandekerkhove had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Van de Velde hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Waterhoek's Abel Van de Velde got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abel Van de Velde kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Dolf Zimmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to FC De Sloverkes getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Casper Jannes hit a great ball. Leo Van de Loock stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dolf Zimmer's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Sander De Bisschop's late challenge caught a FC De Sloverkes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sander De Bisschop helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC De Sloverkes booed when Waterhoek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sander De Bisschop didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Waterhoek fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC De Sloverkes had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
