When Roderik Worteler came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Tikki Mo Salah fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roderik Worteler couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in New York Giants's zone, Roderik Worteler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederik Van Geel came out of the goal and Roderik Worteler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kasper Pastijns kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, Jacky Van Linthout cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Frederik Van Geel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Giovanny Castermans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Frederik Van Geel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacky Van Linthout, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Arnout Henderickx dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wart Jans, 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wart Van den Berge in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frederik Van Geel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kasper Pastijns's late challenge caught a Tikki Mo Salah's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kasper Pastijns helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st minute, Kasper Pastijns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnout Henderickx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wart Jans made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Miguel Verheyden sent off a good shot on target. Jacky Van Linthout's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frederik Van Geel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Tikki Mo Salah were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnout Henderickx to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, New York Giants's Cederic Kest got a free kick in the 51st minute. 53 minutes into the match, New York Giants's goalkeeper Frederik Van Geel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roderik Worteler. Jacky Van Linthout might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frederik Van Geel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacky Van Linthout ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnout Henderickx in the 62nd minute of play forced Tikki Mo Salah's goalkeeper Wart Jans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giovanny Castermans got free with Frederik Van Geel in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 68 minutes into the match, Jacky Van Linthout notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of New York Giants's Frederik Van Geel. Frederik Van Geel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jacky Van Linthout sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Robbie Pieters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frederik Van Geel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacky Van Linthout in the 76th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in New York Giants's zone, Jacky Van Linthout stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederik Van Geel came out of the goal and Jacky Van Linthout tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tikki Mo Salah's Wart Jans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Verheyden in the 80th minute of play. Jacky Van Linthout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Frederik Van Geel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frederik Van Geel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacky Van Linthout's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Frederik Van Geel made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Giovanny Castermans sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Verheyden in the 87th minute of play forced Tikki Mo Salah's goalkeeper Wart Jans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frederik Van Geel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovanny Castermans in the 89th minute of play. New York Giants were furious when Herald Humbelets was red carded, 96 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, New York Giants's Herald Humbelets got a free kick in the 97th minute.
