When Anton Ahlroht came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Lichten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anton Ahlroht couldn't finish the play. Weverton van Beek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Ahlroht, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Günther Bardy kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the game, Aureliusz Bienienda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Weverton van Beek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Maurus Pastijns kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Liernu's goal looked a bit too open when Aureliusz Bienienda came free, but Weverton van Beek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lichten's Ilídio Malafaia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Lichten from getting a goal against them. Weverton van Beek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliusz Bienienda in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Louis Snyers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Liernu defense, Aureliusz Bienienda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Weverton van Beek. The Liernu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Weverton van Beek should have stopped the shot. Franciszek Lichucki kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Liernu's Yanniek Matthijs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ilídio Malafaia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Lichten getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Franciszek Lichucki hit a great ball. Louis Snyers did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Ilídio Malafaia 40 minutes into the match. Lichten's Aureliusz Bienienda got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Yanniek Matthijs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Louis Snyers to strike the kick off in the second half. Ilídio Malafaia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louis Snyers in the 53rd minute of play. Weverton van Beek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aureliusz Bienienda in the 56th minute. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Liernu's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mars Overmark was slow to take the kick. During this time Lichten's players had a chance to rest. After 65 played minutes Lichten got a freekick which was hit by Andries Rompen. Aureliusz Bienienda's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Weverton van Beek firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of Lichten booed when Liernu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Günther Bardy didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Louis Snyers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ilídio Malafaia was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. 76 minutes into the game, Aureliusz Bienienda recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Weverton van Beek. Aureliusz Bienienda showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Aureliusz Bienienda hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Aureliusz Bienienda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Louis Snyers struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Ilídio Malafaia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liernu. 84 minutes into the match, Anton Ahlroht notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Liernu's Weverton van Beek. Weverton van Beek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Louis Snyers in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ilídio Malafaia saved Lichten from getting behind. Lichten's Ilídio Malafaia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louis Snyers in the 92nd minute of play. The Liernu supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lichten's performance. The match ended with a win for Lichten.
