The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niels Van De Velden stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Niels Van De Velden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Rens Van Damme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rens Van Damme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stein Vits went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 94th minute, Stan Smeulders ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Piet Rouvoet was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The Chelsea players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
