Tikki Mo Salah's Roderik Worteler got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the game, Tikki Mo Salah's Jacky Van Linthout nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gino Van Haeght made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Gino Van Haeght showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wart Van den Berge, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Evert Meeuwissen's late challenge caught a Tikki Mo Salah's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 37th minute, Tikki Mo Salah's Wart Van den Berge ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gino Van Haeght. Gino Van Haeght yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. After having played for 41 minutes, Jacky Van Linthout managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tikki Mo Salah's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacky Van Linthout was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Giovanny Castermans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tikki Mo Salah's supporters rose to their feet, but Giovanny Castermans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gino Van Haeght breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. In the 96th minute, Jacky Van Linthout made a precise shot to the right of Gino Van Haeght. comeback's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0.
