Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elias Coveliers ran back to his position shaking his head. Mathias Van dooren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robrecht Everts during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes Chelsea got a freekick which was hit by Robrecht Everts. In the 24th match minute, Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ief Verhaghen to maneuver through the defense. Jullian van Elderen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rens Van Damme having to interfere. The supporters of Chelsea booed when Berliner Bären was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Coveliers didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam-Lucas Nijs in the 32nd minute of play forced Chelsea's goalkeeper Rens Van Damme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rens Van Damme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Răzvan Pisculescu's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Rens Van Damme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Răzvan Pisculescu in the 39th minute of play. Elias Coveliers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rens Van Damme having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Berliner Bären's Răzvan Pisculescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rens Van Damme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 45thth minute of the game Răzvan Pisculescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chelsea's Rens Van Damme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elias Coveliers did an outstanding performance 47 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 0-1 to the right of an irritated Rens Van Damme in the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 55th minute, Răzvan Pisculescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gery Goddez's late challenge caught a Berliner Bären's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gery Goddez helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Berliner Bären a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hakan Kaya, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Chelsea's Rens Van Damme. 0-2. Elias Coveliers hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Răzvan Pisculescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Răzvan Pisculescu got free with Rens Van Damme in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rdth minute of the game Răzvan Pisculescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chelsea's Rens Van Damme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rens Van Damme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam-Lucas Nijs in the 75th minute of the match. Răzvan Pisculescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elias Coveliers received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rens Van Damme came out and tried to block the shot, but Elias Coveliers slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 83rd minute. If Răzvan Pisculescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Janes Weba charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Janes Weba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Chelsea getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Janes Weba hit a great ball. Berliner Bären's Hakan Kaya couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 96th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Chelsea. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Răzvan Pisculescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berliner Bären's supporters rose to their feet, but Răzvan Pisculescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rens Van Damme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rens Van Damme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Răzvan Pisculescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elias Coveliers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 103rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Berliner Bären played a much better game than Chelsea and deserved their victory. The Chelsea players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
