Tommi De Bruyn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Sproten in the 9th minute of play forced Chelsea's goalkeeper Rens Van Damme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The long shot by Georges Michiels in the 13th minute really tested Rens Van Damme's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Philip van Hagenborgh during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Philip van Hagenborgh kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. When FC Kroeters's Alex Sproten in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chelsea's goalie prevented a goal. Claude Renotte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stan Smeulders in the 30th minute of the match. Stan Smeulders took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claude Renotte. Claude Renotte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Claude Renotte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boudewijn Dewinter in the 35th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the game, Boudewijn Dewinter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Claude Renotte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Sebbe Conincx's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rens Van Damme was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. 42 minutes into the match, Stan Smeulders had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claude Renotte. FC Kroeters's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stan Smeulders was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Chelsea's Rens Van Damme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommi De Bruyn in the 48th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alex Sproten to strike the kick off in the second half. Tommi De Bruyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Georges-Philippe Mampaerts kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Boudewijn Dewinter in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claude Renotte saved FC Kroeters from getting behind. Sebbe Conincx hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Alex Sproten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Philip van Hagenborgh was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 60 minutes had been played. A collision led to Chelsea getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Philip van Hagenborgh hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Chelsea's Boudewijn Dewinter got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Tommi De Bruyn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rens Van Damme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Sproten in the 64th minute of play. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Tommi De Bruyn advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-3 in the 65th minute. FC Kroeters's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nicolas Van Damme in the 71st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommi De Bruyn in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rens Van Damme saved Chelsea from getting behind. Rens Van Damme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tommi De Bruyn's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. When Janes Weba fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chelsea's protests and gave Janes Weba a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Chelsea's Janes Weba got a free kick in the 79th minute. 80 minutes into the match, FC Kroeters's Nicolas Van Damme broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Rens Van Damme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Sproten in the 82nd minute of the match. Rens Van Damme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommi De Bruyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute Tommi De Bruyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rens Van Damme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When FC Kroeters's Tommi De Bruyn in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chelsea's goalie prevented a goal. Alex Sproten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rens Van Damme having to interfere. The FC Kroeters manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Chelsea to win.
