In the 24th minute, Mathieu-Maxim Vissenaeken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 54 minutes into the match, comeback's Sylvan Owerckx sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Weverton van Beek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Liernu's zone, Sylvan Owerckx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Weverton van Beek came out of the goal and Sylvan Owerckx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the game, Louis Snyers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gino Van Haeght prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 81 played minutes comeback got a freekick which was hit by Wouter Van Meerbek. Louis Snyers might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gino Van Haeght. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Louis Snyers ran back to his position shaking his head. If Louis Snyers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute Yanniek Matthijs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Van Haeght saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yanniek Matthijs in the 90th minute of play forced comeback's goalkeeper Gino Van Haeght to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute Liernu were awarded a corner. Yanniek Matthijs went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Yanniek Matthijs got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gino Van Haeght quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Liernu's Maurus Pastijns got a free kick in the 96th minute. Evert Meeuwissen was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 97th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Liernu's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
