Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ronny Vermeiren kicked off to start the match. If Camiel Huijbrechts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 6 minutes into the match, KAA Vissenaken's goalkeeper Francis Kerckmans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Camiel Huijbrechts. Camiel Huijbrechts did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Francis Kerckmans 9 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Camiel Huijbrechts sped through KAA Vissenaken's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Francis Kerckmans. 17 minutes into the game, Bernt Dekker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vantegem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KAA Vissenaken the free kick. In the 18th match minute, Vantegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernt Dekker to maneuver through the defense. Ronny Vermeiren struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Fred De Maerschalckx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KAA Vissenaken. 20 minutes into the match, Vantegem's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Van Huele came free, but Fred De Maerschalckx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Vantegem booed when KAA Vissenaken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Van Dock didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francis Kerckmans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gino Tobbackers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francis Kerckmans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sander De Koq in the 28th minute. When Ronny Vermeiren fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KAA Vissenaken's protests and gave Ronny Vermeiren a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Vantegem booed when KAA Vissenaken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Vermeiren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute Ronny Vermeiren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred De Maerschalckx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jonathan Lissens fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KAA Vissenaken's protests and gave Jonathan Lissens a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes KAA Vissenaken got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Lissens. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gino Tobbackers got free with Francis Kerckmans in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Camiel Huijbrechts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francis Kerckmans having to interfere. If Tommy Van Huele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Camiel Huijbrechts stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for KAA Vissenaken! KAA Vissenaken's Francis Kerckmans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sander De Koq in the 59th minute of play. With a little luck, Vantegem's Fred De Maerschalckx got control of the ball when Jonathan Lissens tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Vantegem's Sander De Koq got a free kick in the 65th minute. Fred De Maerschalckx stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronny Vermeiren's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Fred De Maerschalckx made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Tommy Van Huele sent off a good shot on target. 69 minutes into the match, KAA Vissenaken's goal looked a bit too open when Gino Tobbackers came free, but Francis Kerckmans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the KAA Vissenaken defense, Camiel Huijbrechts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francis Kerckmans. The KAA Vissenaken fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francis Kerckmans should have stopped the shot. Camiel Huijbrechts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Vantegem's Sander De Koq in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KAA Vissenaken's goalie prevented a goal. Camiel Huijbrechts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sander De Koq sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Camiel Huijbrechts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 84th minute, Vantegem's Amaury Vissenakens seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Amaury Vissenakens the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Vantegem protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Amaury Vissenakens had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Vantegem's Camiel Huijbrechts got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Camiel Huijbrechts's late challenge caught a KAA Vissenaken's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camiel Huijbrechts helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd minute, Camiel Huijbrechts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leon Verdonck kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, KAA Vissenaken's Tommy Van Huele tried to score from far away in the 99th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
