Club Brugge KV's Yoachim Kerkhofs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregorie Calstermans in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute of the match, Yens Van Heerle got a very nice opportunity to score, but Herald Baeten was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Herald Baeten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Leerbels in the 13th minute of the match. Gregorie Calstermans took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yoachim Kerkhofs. Yoachim Kerkhofs dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Club Brugge KV's Yens Van Heerle got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. KFC Graux's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Tibo Van Looy scored to the left of an out of position Herald Baeten, making the score, 1-1. 24 minutes into the match, KFC Graux's Gregorie Calstermans sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yoachim Kerkhofs narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Herald Baeten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jordy Hendrickx, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 29th minute Henri-Xavier Buyck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herald Baeten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 31 minutes, Gregorie Calstermans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Graux's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregorie Calstermans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Herald Baeten was a little too slow when Henri-Xavier Buyck got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gregorie Calstermans during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gregorie Calstermans hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henri-Xavier Buyck was the one to do the kick off. If Gregorie Calstermans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the game, Gregorie Calstermans cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Yoachim Kerkhofs was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Yoachim Kerkhofs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emile Kerstens in the 81st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gregorie Calstermans in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yoachim Kerkhofs saved Club Brugge KV from getting behind. Emile Kerstens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yoachim Kerkhofs having to interfere. Henri-Xavier Buyck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeremey Raaymakers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Emile Kerstens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yens Van Heerle in the 95th minute of play forced KFC Graux's goalkeeper Herald Baeten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as KFC Graux's Birger De Ceijser slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Yoachim Kerkhofs. That made the score 3-4 after 96 minutes of play. Yoachim Kerkhofs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Birger De Ceijser's shot from short distance in the 99th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched KFC Graux eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
