Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Club Brugge KV's Henri-Xavier Buyck started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yoachim Kerkhofs was a little too slow when Kristof Van Lier got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. When Wim Leenknecht came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the SC Rooigem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Leenknecht couldn't finish the play. Kevin Coenen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yens Van Heerle in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Wim Leenknecht left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Rooigem fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Joris Loozen's late challenge caught a SC Rooigem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joris Loozen helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Club Brugge KV's Joris Loozen got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Wim Leenknecht struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Yoachim Kerkhofs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Rooigem. When Kristof Van Lier came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the SC Rooigem fans jumped to their feet. After a defensive mix-up in SC Rooigem's zone, Henri-Xavier Buyck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevin Coenen came out of the goal and Henri-Xavier Buyck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute Yens Van Heerle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Coenen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kevin Coenen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yens Van Heerle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luc Schoutens hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Kevin Coenen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yens Van Heerle in the 46th minute of the match. Kevin Coenen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henri-Xavier Buyck in the 47th minute of play.

The wind increased when Kristof Van Lier made the kick off in the second half. Kevin Coenen made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Yens Van Heerle sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wim Leenknecht in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yoachim Kerkhofs prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Henri-Xavier Buyck scored 2-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kevin Coenen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 62 minutes into the match, Club Brugge KV's Yens Van Heerle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kevin Coenen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Henri-Xavier Buyck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henri-Xavier Buyck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kevin Coenen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. After having played for 67 minutes, Henri-Xavier Buyck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Brugge KV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henri-Xavier Buyck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yoachim Kerkhofs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristof Van Lier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yoachim Kerkhofs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Leenknecht in the 81st minute of the match. Kristof Van Lier took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yoachim Kerkhofs. Yoachim Kerkhofs dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Wim Leenknecht sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kristof Van Lier during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SC Rooigem getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Kristof Van Lier hit a great ball. If Yens Van Heerle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Robbin De Meur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Rooigem had won after a very even match.
