Boubadji United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vantegem the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Boubadji United's zone, Camiel Huijbrechts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harold Rompen came out of the goal and Camiel Huijbrechts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fred De Maerschalckx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest Uytterhoeven, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 15 minutes, Andries Pancken mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vantegem and the Boubadji United players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Boubadji United booed when Vantegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andries Pancken didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Boubadji United getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jasper Omblet hit a great ball. Laurenz Beaufort sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Vantegem's Gino Tobbackers got a free kick in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Vantegem's zone, Robbie Vanden Broucke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fred De Maerschalckx came out of the goal and Robbie Vanden Broucke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Camiel Huijbrechts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Laurenz Beaufort took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fred De Maerschalckx. Fred De Maerschalckx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 44th minute, Vantegem's Amaury Vissenakens seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Amaury Vissenakens the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Vantegem protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Amaury Vissenakens had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 43 minutes into the game, one of Vantegem:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
Ernest Uytterhoeven struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Fred De Maerschalckx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boubadji United. A hard shot by Fred Hoeybroeck from long distance, 58 minutes into the match, got Fred De Maerschalckx's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Gino Tobbackers charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gino Tobbackers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vantegem getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Gino Tobbackers hit a great ball. Laurenz Beaufort recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Boubadji United's zone, Camiel Huijbrechts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harold Rompen came out of the goal and Camiel Huijbrechts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 66 minutes into the match, Gino Tobbackers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Harold Rompen. Boubadji United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gino Tobbackers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Camiel Huijbrechts blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Harold Rompen having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artuur Olbrechts during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th minute, Artuur Olbrechts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fred De Maerschalckx made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Ernest Uytterhoeven sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd match minute, Vantegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Verdonck to maneuver through the defense. Ernest Uytterhoeven in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fred De Maerschalckx, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 88th match minute, Boubadji United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robbie Vanden Broucke to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the game, Fred Hoeybroeck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boubadji United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vantegem the free kick. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Boubadji United! Harold Rompen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camiel Huijbrechts in the 96th minute of the match. Vantegem's Camiel Huijbrechts managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sander Van Casteren in the 97 minute of the game. Vantegem's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
