With his leg Kevin Coenen managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when FC Het Altaar's Tjorven Wery fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Kevin Coenen as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ferdinand Vos lost his temper 34 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Rooigem fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! After 38 played minutes SC Rooigem got a freekick which was hit by Frederik De Bruyn. 38 minutes into the match, FC Het Altaar's Jorn De Meijer broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tjorven Wery stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Wim Leenknecht managed to get in a good position for a shot. The FC Het Altaar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tjorven Wery in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kevin Coenen prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
