In the 4th match minute, KAA Vissenaken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy Van Huele to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute, Wim Leenknecht hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronny Vermeiren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Coenen having to interfere. SC Rooigem's Luc Schoutens got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, SC Rooigem's goalkeeper Kevin Coenen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronny Vermeiren. Alexander Stercks hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronny Vermeiren in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kevin Coenen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Luc Schoutens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SC Rooigem booed when KAA Vissenaken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Stercks didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kristof Van Lier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francis Kerckmans having to interfere. The supporters of KAA Vissenaken booed when SC Rooigem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascal De Wilde didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francis Kerckmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luc Schoutens in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, KAA Vissenaken's Ronny Vermeiren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kevin Coenen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Richy Van Heerle hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Bernd Worteler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Coenen having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Francis Kerckmans was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Wim Leenknecht capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wim Leenknecht really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Leenknecht got free with Francis Kerckmans in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Francis Kerckmans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristof Van Lier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francis Kerckmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robbin De Meur in the 92nd minute of the match. Francis Kerckmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristof Van Lier in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Jonathan Lissens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Kristof Van Lier managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Rooigem's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristof Van Lier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francis Kerckmans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SC Rooigem's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
