The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Freek Lembrechts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Paraíba having to interfere. Charles-Antoine Rijmenants kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. If Freek Lembrechts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amílton Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freek Lembrechts in the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Vic Stas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, KSV Sottegem's goal looked a bit too open when Freek Lembrechts came free, but Amílton Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Freek Lembrechts during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Freek Lembrechts hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Bernd Van den Bergen charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernd Van den Bergen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rdth minute of the game Freek Lembrechts who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KSV Sottegem's Amílton Paraíba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 27 minutes into the match, ZVK Met Alle Chinezen's Freek Lembrechts sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amílton Paraíba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Freek Lembrechts in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amílton Paraíba saved KSV Sottegem from getting behind. In the 33rd minute Goffrey Van Havent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílton Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Goffrey Van Havent's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amílton Paraíba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute Goffrey Van Havent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílton Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amílton Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Goffrey Van Havent in the 39th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 52nd play minutes Vic Stas shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Amílton Paraíba and just under the crossbar into goal. Freek Lembrechts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Paraíba having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in KSV Sottegem's zone, Freek Lembrechts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amílton Paraíba came out of the goal and Freek Lembrechts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th match minute, KSV Sottegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wim Schaerlaekens to maneuver through the defense. After 70 played minutes ZVK Met Alle Chinezen got a freekick which was hit by Vic Stas. Goffrey Van Havent kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, ZVK Met Alle Chinezen's Freek Lembrechts got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 84thth minute of the game Bernd Van den Bergen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ZVK Met Alle Chinezen's Simon Kindt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Although KSV Sottegem had been in control for most of the match, ZVK Met Alle Chinezen still came away with the win.
