After a defensive mix-up in VC Vierseldijk's zone, Mats Degraef stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dylan Cortens came out of the goal and Mats Degraef tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute of the game, Jaques Lambert landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bertrand Capelle during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th minute, Bertrand Capelle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Mats Degraef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Teo De Keyser might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lars De Malier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teo De Keyser ran back to his position shaking his head. VC Vierseldijk's Dylan Cortens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Degraef in the 30th minute of play. Wout Coekx charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wout Coekx the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Hectic getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Wout Coekx hit a great ball. Henk Petermans charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Hectic booed when VC Vierseldijk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henk Petermans didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Hectic's goal looked a bit too open when Teo De Keyser came free, but Lars De Malier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brecht Van Langhendonck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After a defensive mix-up in Hectic's zone, Teo De Keyser stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lars De Malier came out of the goal and Teo De Keyser tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teo De Keyser in the 62nd minute of play forced Hectic's goalkeeper Lars De Malier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Teo De Keyser left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VC Vierseldijk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After having played for 68 minutes, Teo De Keyser managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VC Vierseldijk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teo De Keyser was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Hectic's Jamie Goos got a free kick in the 75th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mats Degraef got free with Dylan Cortens in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hectic were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing VC Vierseldijk to leave the ground with a draw.
