Spectators: 7997 (Terracing: 5999, Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jean Slegers kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bart Matthijs in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dolf Kindermans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jean Slegers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dolf Kindermans having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, Grammene was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Max Ceusters to maneuver through the defense. Jean Slegers's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Dolf Kindermans skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Dolf Kindermans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bart Matthijs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bart Matthijs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dolf Kindermans having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, VC Winksele's goal looked a bit too open when Max Ceusters came free, but Camiel Coryn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. VC Winksele's Camiel Coryn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Max Ceusters in the 27th minute of play. After 28 played minutes VC Winksele got a freekick which was hit by Franck De Keijser. The supporters of Grammene booed when VC Winksele was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Wijgaert didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, VC Winksele's goal looked a bit too open when Max Ceusters came free, but Camiel Coryn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bart Matthijs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Dolf Kindermans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Dolf Kindermans managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when VC Winksele's Jean Slegers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 46th minute Achilles Van der Voert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camiel Coryn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. VC Winksele's Bart Matthijs got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Achilles Van der Voert to strike the kick off in the second half. Fre Gevaert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Camiel Coryn made a huge save. In the 55th minute, Christiaan Van de Plas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the game, Achilles Van der Voert lined in a short shot 0-1 behind a frustrated Camiel Coryn. With a little luck, VC Winksele's Camiel Coryn got control of the ball when Max Ceusters tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 61st match minute, VC Winksele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Wijgaert to maneuver through the defense. VC Winksele made a substitution. Simon Moreau replaced Franck De Keijser. Abel Wijgaert kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Camiel Coryn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achilles Van der Voert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grammene were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after VC Winksele's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mateo Kindermans took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Mateo Kindermans got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Camiel Coryn quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Jean Slegers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With an all-out effort, Grammene's Camiel Coryn threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arno Slegers, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Camiel Coryn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fre Gevaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 77th minute, Bart Matthijs left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VC Winksele fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Grammene's zone, Robbie Uytebroeck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dolf Kindermans came out of the goal and Robbie Uytebroeck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute, Christiaan Van de Plas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute, Max Ceusters got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. VC Winksele's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Max Ceusters scored to the left of an out of position Camiel Coryn, making the score, 1-2. 94 minutes into the match, VC Winksele's goalkeeper Camiel Coryn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Max Ceusters. Abel Wijgaert was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, VC Winksele's Abel Wijgaert got a free kick in the 95th minute. Achilles Van der Voert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Camiel Coryn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chants of Grammene echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as VC Winksele had held the ball for most of the match.
