Bruno Maerschalcx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lopidato FC. A collision led to Froid-Chapelle getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ron Davus hit a great ball. Dominic Cornelis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Bruno Maerschalcx made a huge save. Yannik Meersmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Maerschalcx having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Klaas Van Landeghem was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Herman De Strijcker sped through Froid-Chapelle's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bruno Maerschalcx. If Klaas Van Landeghem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Herman De Strijcker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th minute, Dominic Cornelis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Herman De Strijcker in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Maerschalcx prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Froid-Chapelle booed when Lopidato FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman De Strijcker didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dominic Cornelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Dominic Cornelis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lopidato FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dominic Cornelis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Maerschalcx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Yannik Meersmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Maerschalcx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stephen Smidts in the 86th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Stephen Smidts notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Froid-Chapelle's Bruno Maerschalcx. Bruno Maerschalcx was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 94 minutes, Yannik Meersmans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lopidato FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yannik Meersmans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Lopidato FC had played much better football throughout.
