One of KRC Bambrugge:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of De Brugse Zotten:s goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laurens Opdebeeck in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Willy Poets saved KRC Bambrugge from getting behind. Willy Poets made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurens Opdebeeck in the 23rd minute of play. When De Brugse Zotten's Laurens Opdebeeck in 25 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Willy Poets guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. De Brugse Zotten's Alfons Goethuys got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laurens Opdebeeck in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Willy Poets saved KRC Bambrugge from getting behind. Willy Poets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boris Huyghens, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Willy Poets showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurens Opdebeeck in the 32nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfons Goethuys in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Willy Poets prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Willy Poets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfons Goethuys, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Willy Poets took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurens Opdebeeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joerie Paaps hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Richmond Van Malcot made the kick off in the second half. With his leg Willy Poets managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when De Brugse Zotten's Alfons Goethuys fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Laurens Opdebeeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pakin De Hond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias Saelens in the 62nd minute of the match. Laurens Opdebeeck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Willy Poets tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Richmond Van Malcot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 70 minutes into the match, KRC Bambrugge's goal looked a bit too open when Laurens Opdebeeck came free, but Willy Poets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute of the match, Alfons Goethuys got a very nice opportunity to score, but Willy Poets was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 80 minutes into the match, KRC Bambrugge's goal looked a bit too open when Laurens Opdebeeck came free, but Willy Poets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute, Christopher Van Acht hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, KRC Bambrugge's Willy Poets got control of the ball when Laurens Opdebeeck tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89th minute, Laurens Opdebeeck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alfons Goethuys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over De Brugse Zotten could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than KRC Bambrugge throughout the match.
