Seating: 1854, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Klaas Van Landeghem kicked off to start the match. Benjamin Stercks's late challenge caught a Brugse Boeren's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Stercks helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Froid-Chapelle getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Benjamin Stercks hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Martijn Lembrechts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Maerschalcx was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Martijn Van de cauter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Maerschalcx having to interfere. Martijn Lembrechts struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Bruno Maerschalcx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brugse Boeren. Martijn Van de cauter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Bruno Maerschalcx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Maerschalcx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martijn Lembrechts, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Martijn Van de cauter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Maerschalcx having to interfere. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Froid-Chapelle's goalkeeper Bruno Maerschalcx, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Brugse Boeren's Martijn Lembrechts in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Froid-Chapelle's goalie prevented a goal. In the 25th minute, Martijn Van de cauter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brugse Boeren fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Willem-Jan Van Aerschot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Maerschalcx having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruno Wolput during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bruno Wolput hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Bruno Maerschalcx didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martijn Lembrechts went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Martijn Van de cauter took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Maerschalcx. Bruno Maerschalcx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After 45 minutes of play, Brugse Boeren's Martijn Van de cauter made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Maerschalcx was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martijn Lembrechts was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Martijn Van de cauter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martijn Van de cauter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Maerschalcx having to make a save. Bruno Maerschalcx was a little too slow when Martijn Lembrechts got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 0-5. Bruno Maerschalcx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martijn Lembrechts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Maerschalcx stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martijn Lembrechts's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Gwenn Carpenter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brugse Boeren's supporters rose to their feet, but Gwenn Carpenter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Maerschalcx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 72 minutes into the match, Martijn Van de cauter had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Maerschalcx. Froid-Chapelle's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martijn Van de cauter was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Bruno Maerschalcx didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martijn Van de cauter went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Martijn Lembrechts took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Bruno Maerschalcx to make any attempt to save it. Bruno Maerschalcx made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Martijn Lembrechts sent off a good shot on target. After 84 played minutes Martijn Lembrechts rounded Froid-Chapelle's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-10. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Willem-Jan Van Aerschot got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Martijn Van de cauter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Bruno Maerschalcx made a huge save. After having played for 93 minutes, Koen Mol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brugse Boeren's supporters crossed their fingers, but Koen Mol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brugse Boeren played a much better game than Froid-Chapelle and deserved their victory. The Froid-Chapelle players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
