Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. DeMarcus Rau started the match with the kick off. Robbin Cheepers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Verhaghen in the 7th minute of the match. If Guillaume Moens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robbin Cheepers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steffen De Wever in the 13th minute of play. Jerry Verhaghen scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robbin Cheepers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 22nd minute, Mattheo Soens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AFC Ajax Amsterdam's Robbin Cheepers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Schoutens in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd play minute DeMarcus Rau came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Reinaert Neirynck. 1-1. In the 40th minute, Mattheo Soens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steffen De Wever in the 43rd minute of play forced AFC Ajax Amsterdam's goalkeeper Robbin Cheepers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robbin Cheepers came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Ledeseyde's Jerry Verhaghen. But to his dismay, Jerry Verhaghen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Steffen De Wever was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Robbin Cheepers managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when Sporting Ledeseyde's Jerry Verhaghen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Guillaume Moens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerom Mampaerts kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the game, Danny Schoutens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Ledeseyde's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC Ajax Amsterdam the free kick. A collision led to Sporting Ledeseyde getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Danny Schoutens hit a great ball. Reinaert Neirynck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from DeMarcus Rau in the 58th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Robbin Cheepers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Robbin Cheepers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steffen De Wever, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mattheo Soens's late challenge caught a Sporting Ledeseyde's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mattheo Soens helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, AFC Ajax Amsterdam's Mattheo Soens got a free kick in the 67th minute. 69 minutes into the match, AFC Ajax Amsterdam's goalkeeper Robbin Cheepers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerry Verhaghen. With 74 minutes on the clock, Jo Lejeune commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 73 minutes into the game, one of AFC Ajax Amsterdam:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 80 minutes into the match, AFC Ajax Amsterdam's goal looked a bit too open when Steffen De Wever came free, but Robbin Cheepers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, DeMarcus Rau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Steffen De Wever fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbin Cheepers having to interfere. If Steffen De Wever had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerry Verhaghen got free with Robbin Cheepers in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Robbin Cheepers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steffen De Wever, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th match minute, Sporting Ledeseyde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danny Schoutens to maneuver through the defense. Sporting Ledeseyde's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
