Tom Van Bouschot was left in no man's land by his defense there! DF Youth Academy's Quillian Vereect played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter-Jan Deflandre in the 30th minute of play. Bruno Van Brussels short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Tom Van Bouschot to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 39 minutes into the match, 2860 Linksback's goalkeeper Tom Van Bouschot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Van Brussel. Robbie van Elderen might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tom Van Bouschot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robbie van Elderen ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robbie van Elderen in the 43rd minute of play forced 2860 Linksback's goalkeeper Tom Van Bouschot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, 2860 Linksback's Tom Van Bouschot got control of the ball when Bruno Van Brussel tried to sneak it across the goal line. 8-0 became the score in the 46th minute when Robbie van Elderen elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Peter-Jan Deflandre to make the kick off. The DF Youth Academy fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when DF Youth Academy's Robbie van Elderen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 11-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edwin Van De Wijngaert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Van Bouschot having to interfere. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 12-0 when Robbie van Elderen sped through 2860 Linksback's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tom Van Bouschot. Robbie van Elderen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Van Bouschot having to interfere. Bruno Van Brussel ran back to his position shaking his head. Maarten De Hooge's late challenge caught a DF Youth Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maarten De Hooge helped the player get up and apologised. Maarten De Hooge hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Tom Van Bouschot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robbie van Elderen, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. If Robbie van Elderen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
