In the 47th minute, Josef Caes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerard Van Den Bosche stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Ruud Poortmans managed to get in a good position for a shot. RSCA U21's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruud Poortmans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zantho F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RSCA U21 the free kick. The supporters of RSCA U21 booed when Zantho F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constant Roekeloos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Louis-Philippe Reijnders left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RSCA U21 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. In the 77th match minute, RSCA U21 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis-Philippe Reijnders to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerard Van Den Bosche in the 80th minute of play forced Zantho F.C.'s goalkeeper Dimitry Ceusters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 6-1 when Gerard Van Den Bosche sped through Zantho F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dimitry Ceusters. 7-1 became the score in the 85th minute when Ruud Poortmans elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 93rdth minute of the game Gerard Van Den Bosche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zantho F.C.'s Dimitry Ceusters was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 93 minutes of play Zantho F.C.'s Constant Roekeloos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 94 played minutes Zantho F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Constant Roekeloos. After 95 minutes, Gerard Van Den Bosche made it 8-1 with a short kick to the right side. Zantho F.C.'s Dimitry Ceusters tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
