Spectators: 7996 (Terracing: 5998, Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 159) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Isaac Vito got the match started through his kick off. Dimitry Ceusters came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by VC Merchtem's Isaac Vito. But to his dismay, Isaac Vito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 7 played minutes Zantho F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Custermans. When VC Merchtem's Isaac Vito in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zantho F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Dimitry Ceusters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvio Estebe in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Silvio Estebe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Dimitry Ceusters was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dimitry Ceusters took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Vito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dimitry Ceusters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvio Estebe in the 16th minute of play. After having played for 21 minutes, Isaac Vito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VC Merchtem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaac Vito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Silvio Estebe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dimitry Ceusters was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Dimitry Ceusters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Vito in the 29th minute of the match. Rajmond Van den Brul scored 0-4 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dimitry Ceusters, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Constant Roekeloos kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Isaac Vito managed to get in a good position for a shot. VC Merchtem's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaac Vito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dimitry Ceusters breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dimitry Ceusters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvio Estebe, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. If Silvio Estebe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sean Weets stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvio Estebe got free with Dimitry Ceusters in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Isaac Vito might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dimitry Ceusters. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isaac Vito ran back to his position shaking his head. Isaac Vito was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 59th minute. VC Merchtem's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaac Vito in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dimitry Ceusters prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Josef Caes hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Zantho F.C.'s zone, Isaac Vito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dimitry Ceusters came out of the goal and Isaac Vito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zantho F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Silvio Estebe scored to the left of an out of position Dimitry Ceusters, making the score, 0-5. Isaac Vito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st play minute Silvio Estebe came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dimitry Ceusters. 0-6. Filiph Klemensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Goffrey Waron in the 86th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvio Estebe got free with Dimitry Ceusters in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastian Custermans hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Isaac Vito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Arne Vuerinx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dimitry Ceusters. Zantho F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arne Vuerinx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. The Zantho F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. VC Merchtem were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
