The penalty shot was made by Silvio Estebe, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of De Matoekoes's Wart Keldermans. 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, De Matoekoes's goalkeeper Wart Keldermans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vladimiro Rozarius. Ignace Stroobans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Wart Keldermans made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvio Estebe got free with Wart Keldermans in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. De Matoekoes's Wart Keldermans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save De Matoekoes from getting a goal against them. Wart Keldermans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rajmond Van den Brul in the 35th minute of play. Ivan Matthys struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Filiph Klemensson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De Matoekoes. Wart Keldermans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rajmond Van den Brul, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. The audience was convinced that Rajmond Van den Brul's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wart Keldermans was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. In the 93rd minute of the match VC Merchtem got a corner. De Matoekoes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag.
