Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1450, VIP seats: 50) Kon.Bresvlim's Harald Cantillon started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gilian Van Eijken was a little too slow when Ruud Poortmans got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. Gerard Van Den Bosche who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Gilian Van Eijken when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Natan Engels's late challenge caught a RSCA U21's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Natan Engels helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Kon.Bresvlim's Natan Engels got a free kick in the 11th minute. Ruud Poortmans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kon.Bresvlim's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Philip Van Achter scored to the left of an out of position Gilian Van Eijken, making the score, 2-0. George Gyselinck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harald Cantillon in the 18th minute of the match. Gerard Van Den Bosche scored 3-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gilian Van Eijken, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. RSCA U21's Gerard Van Den Bosche got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Kon.Bresvlim getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Herald Deconynck hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Philip Van Achter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gilian Van Eijken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruud Poortmans in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute Ruud Poortmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilian Van Eijken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kon.Bresvlim's Gilian Van Eijken proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Kon.Bresvlim from getting a goal against them. Gilian Van Eijken made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerard Van Den Bosche in the 35th minute. When Remi De Bruyn fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RSCA U21's protests and gave Remi De Bruyn a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kon.Bresvlim booed when RSCA U21 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remi De Bruyn didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 44 minutes of play, Kon.Bresvlim's Natan Engels made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. George Gyselinck was left in no man's land by his defense there! Harald Cantillon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 59th minute, Gerard Van Den Bosche ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilian Van Eijken was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. When Julius Huijberechts fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kon.Bresvlim's protests and gave Julius Huijberechts a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruud Poortmans in the 63rd minute of play forced Kon.Bresvlim's goalkeeper Gilian Van Eijken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karel-Jan Roose fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Gyselinck having to interfere. The supporters of Kon.Bresvlim booed when RSCA U21 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remi De Bruyn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kon.Bresvlim's Gilian Van Eijken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruud Poortmans in the 90th minute of play. Gilian Van Eijken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerard Van Den Bosche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. RSCA U21's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
