Spectators: 8071 (Terracing: 6055, Seating: 1856, VIP seats: 160) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Loid Vrints took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sam-Lucas Mertens got free with Claude Degraef in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 4 minutes of play, Kaysersheim's Loid Vrints made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claude Degraef was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sam-Lucas Mertens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Loid Vrints received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Claude Degraef tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, FC Kuurne's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sam-Lucas Mertens fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Claude Degraef made an important save on a dangerous shot by Loid Vrints in the 17th minute. Claude Degraef was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Loid Vrints capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Loid Vrints really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The supporters of FC Kuurne booed when Kaysersheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matijs De Vlaeminck didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, FC Kuurne's Claude Degraef got control of the ball when Sam-Lucas Mertens tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Kuurne's Claude Degraef proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save FC Kuurne from getting a goal against them. In the 29th match minute, FC Kuurne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovanny Verbeeck to maneuver through the defense. If Sam-Lucas Mertens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, FC Kuurne's Claude Degraef got control of the ball when Sam-Lucas Mertens tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sam-Lucas Mertens struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Claude Degraef didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kaysersheim. Freek De Wulf came free with the goalkeeper in the 43rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Claude Degraef could save by the left post. Sam-Lucas Mertens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Claude Degraef tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claude Degraef was out of position in the 48 minute of play, and Loid Vrints capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Loid Vrints really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anthoon Vandamme to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Loid Vrints shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claude Degraef saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loid Vrints in the 63rd minute of play forced FC Kuurne's goalkeeper Claude Degraef to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sam-Lucas Mertens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Sam-Lucas Mertens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claude Degraef was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. When Freek De Wulf came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Kaysersheim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freek De Wulf couldn't finish the play. Claude Degraef showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freek De Wulf, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. FC Kuurne's Claude Degraef played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loid Vrints in the 75th minute of play. Loid Vrints took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claude Degraef. Claude Degraef dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Thibau De Beck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kaysersheim's supporters rose to their feet, but Thibau De Beck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claude Degraef breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute, Sam-Lucas Mertens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kaysersheim's Freek De Wulf got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 90 played minutes Kaysersheim got a freekick which was hit by Matijs De Vlaeminck. When the referee ended the match the Kaysersheim players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
