Claude Degraef tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 7 minutes, Lukas Rockeloos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Kuurne and the Kon.Bresvlim players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Kon.Bresvlim booed when FC Kuurne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lukas Rockeloos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claude Degraef showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harald Cantillon, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 11th minute, Kon.Bresvlim's Natan Engels ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Claude Degraef. Claude Degraef yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When Natan Engels came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Kon.Bresvlim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natan Engels couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute Julius Huijberechts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claude Degraef saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Kon.Bresvlim's Herald Deconynck got a free kick in the 20th minute. FC Kuurne's Michael Gobelijns got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anthoon Vandamme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Kon.Bresvlim's goal looked a bit too open when Anthoon Vandamme came free, but Gilian Van Eijken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harald Cantillon got free with Claude Degraef in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Natan Engels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Claude Degraef tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claude Degraef didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Harald Cantillon went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. FC Kuurne's Lukas Rockeloos got his second yellow card of the match in the 42nd minute. The referee ordered Lukas Rockeloos off the ground. A collision led to FC Kuurne getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Lukas Rockeloos hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Harald Cantillon could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Claude Degraef however easily saved by the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pieter De Raeijmaeker to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the FC Kuurne defense, Julius Huijberechts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claude Degraef. The FC Kuurne fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claude Degraef should have stopped the shot. Claude Degraef didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Harald Cantillon went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 74th minute Julius Huijberechts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claude Degraef saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Kuurne's zone, Sebastien Liboton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claude Degraef came out of the goal and Sebastien Liboton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute Julius Huijberechts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claude Degraef saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karel-Jan Roose recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute, Dries Gobeleyns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harald Cantillon struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Claude Degraef didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kon.Bresvlim.
