An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Sannen in the 14th minute of play forced The Olympians's goalkeeper Ludomil Noworolnik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Bertrand Van Hole hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 20 played minutes, The Olympians's Richmond Van Caenegem shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Evert-Jan Vaes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in The Olympians reached it. After a rather tough play, The Olympians's Kamiel Uijtterhoven got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The Olympians's Ludomil Noworolnik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Sannen in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, FC Hannutd's Kasper Jongbloedt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ludomil Noworolnik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 27th match minute, The Olympians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Roscams to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of The Olympians booed when FC Hannutd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Konings didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1-2 became the score in the 37th minute when Kasper Jongbloedt elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 47 minutes into the game, Robert Sannen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Ludomil Noworolnik was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The The Olympians players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Hannutd were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luka Grootjans was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in The Olympians's zone, Robert Sannen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ludomil Noworolnik came out of the goal and Robert Sannen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sebastian Roscams had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Sannen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Josef De Keyser charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josef De Keyser the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd minute of the match Lauren Bourgeois sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ludomil Noworolnik skillfully saved the ball. Evert-Jan Vaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Roscams, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Sannen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludomil Noworolnik having to interfere. The FC Hannutd players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
