Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's Isidro Calisto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thobias Debock in the 14th minute of play. If Thobias Debock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jules Bauweleers during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 26 played minutes Boca Delvaux got a freekick which was hit by Jules Bauweleers. Godfried Van Calster made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joop Huyghebaert in the 31st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Jesse Van Adorp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesse Van Adorp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 37th minute, Boca Delvaux's Reinard Denijs dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. After 41 minutes, Joop Huyghebaert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Patro Eisden Maasmechelen and the Boca Delvaux players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st minute, Joop Huyghebaert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dimitri Van Hooveldt charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dimitri Van Hooveldt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Boca Delvaux's Pieter-Jan Ottevaere was substituted for Brecht De Brouwer.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dimitri Van Hooveldt to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Boca Delvaux's goalkeeper Godfried Van Calster had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacque Devaux. Godfried Van Calster was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 65 played minutes Dimitri Van Hooveldt could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 3-2 into the left cross. Jesse Van Adorp charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jesse Van Adorp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Patro Eisden Maasmechelen getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Jesse Van Adorp hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's Joop Huyghebaert ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Godfried Van Calster. Godfried Van Calster yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. 76 minutes into the match, Joop Huyghebaert dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Godfried Van Calster, 3-4. In the 80th minute, Pieter-Jan Ottevaere hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's Joop Huyghebaert got his second yellow card of the match in the 82nd minute. The referee ordered Joop Huyghebaert off the ground.
