A collision led to FC Dharma Initiative getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Lucas Van Hespen hit a great ball. Matthy Van Houdtvinck was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of FC Soccer Bears booed when FC Dharma Initiative was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Van Hespen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Dharma Initiative's Sebastien Verstraeten got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Edwin Verhaghe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute of the match Matthy Van Houdtvinck sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jesse Naessens skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to FC Soccer Bears getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Martial Goebelens hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, FC Soccer Bears's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Viktor de Pelsmacker fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Lucas Van Hespen was shown his second yellow card after 37 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, FC Dharma Initiative's Lucas Van Hespen got a free kick in the 38th minute. Stephen Pelgrims received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jesse Naessens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jesse Naessens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stephen Pelgrims, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tristan Preuveneer kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marc Cempeners made a kick off. Tristan Preuveneer tried in the game's 54th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Jesse Naessens. An annoying self made goal, 0-1. Jesse Naessens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stephen Pelgrims went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Stephen Pelgrims blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jesse Naessens having to make a save. In the 71st minute, Stephen Pelgrims left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Soccer Bears fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Jorge Van der Vorst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastien Verstraeten in the 80th minute of play. Stephen Pelgrims's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jesse Naessens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. If Stephen Pelgrims had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 96 played minutes FC Dharma Initiative got a freekick which was hit by Boris Buyck. When the final whistle went the supporters of FC Soccer Bears were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant FC Dharma Initiative side.
