Royal Timboektoe city's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dimitri Van Hooveldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 56 minutes, Dimitri Van Hooveldt made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Royal Timboektoe city's Soren Fierens tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Dimitri Van Hooveldt put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Soren Fierens. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dimitri Van Hooveldt in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Soren Fierens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Joop Huyghebaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 95 minutes, Tommas Van Bombergen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommas Van Bombergen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Patro Eisden Maasmechelen were the better team. Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
