Spectators: 8007 (Terracing: 6007, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rudy Van Eijcke started the match with the kick off. Billy de Nooter charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Billy de Nooter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Storm U18's Billy de Nooter got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 6th minute Joop Huyghebaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Rondou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Izak De Vriendt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Storm U18's supporters rose to their feet, but Izak De Vriendt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isidro Calisto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isidro Calisto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudy Van Eijcke, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's Isidro Calisto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Patro Eisden Maasmechelen from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Storm U18 booed when Patro Eisden Maasmechelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimitri Van Hooveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Storm U18 defense, Evert-Jan Meeus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stefan Rondou. The Storm U18 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stefan Rondou should have stopped the shot. Joop Huyghebaert took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stefan Rondou. Stefan Rondou dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. A collision led to Patro Eisden Maasmechelen getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Tommas Van Bombergen hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dimitri Van Hooveldt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Dimitri Van Hooveldt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 62nd minute of the match, Dimitri Van Hooveldt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Stefan Rondou saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Stefan Rondou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joop Huyghebaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute, Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's Joop Huyghebaert ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Stefan Rondou. Stefan Rondou yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. The crowd rose to their feet as Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's Dimitri Van Hooveldt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stefan Rondou. That made the score 0-7 after 75 minutes of play. After having played for 80 minutes, Joop Huyghebaert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joop Huyghebaert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, Dimitri Van Hooveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stefan Rondou was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudy Van Eijcke in the 91st minute of play forced Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's goalkeeper Isidro Calisto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Patro Eisden Maasmechelen could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Storm U18 throughout the match.
