Herman Kortens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Etienne Izemborgh went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 15th minute, Etienne Izemborgh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Herman Kortens was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 22 minutes into the game, when Gert-Jan Verduyckt put in a rough tackle. The supporters of FC Dharma Initiative booed when De Huppelende Zebras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gert-Jan Verduyckt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Dries Lanphant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 78 minutes of play, FC Dharma Initiative's Jorden Tubbackx made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Herman Kortens was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jo Gallot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Jesse Naessens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. De Huppelende Zebras's Herman Kortens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save De Huppelende Zebras from getting a goal against them.
