In the 10th match minute, KFC Oosthoven was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gill Franckx to maneuver through the defense. Baran Taykut came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Wayne De Wilde could save by the left post. After 24 played minutes KFC Oosthoven got a freekick which was hit by Josef Sellekaers. In the 32nd minute, KFC Oosthoven's Wayne Gielis seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Wayne Gielis the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of KFC Oosthoven protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Wayne Gielis had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Ecaussinnes booed when KFC Oosthoven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wayne Gielis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, KFC Oosthoven's goal looked a bit too open when Eivind Aaslund came free, but Wayne De Wilde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Baran Taykut put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Wayne De Wilde. Alex Holemans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, KFC Oosthoven's goalkeeper Wayne De Wilde had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baran Taykut.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teo Sulem was the one to do the kick off. Ecaussinnes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teo Sulem was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. When Ernst Geijselinckx fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KFC Oosthoven's protests and gave Ernst Geijselinckx a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to KFC Oosthoven getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Ernst Geijselinckx hit a great ball. Eivind Aaslund struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Wayne De Wilde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecaussinnes. Baran Taykut took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wayne De Wilde. Wayne De Wilde dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ecaussinnes had played much better football throughout.
