When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Frederic van Haecht sped through KFC Melkwezer's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dany Vermeulen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Dejardin in the 57th minute of play forced KFC Melkwezer's goalkeeper Dany Vermeulen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Patrick Vereeken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92ndth minute of the game Viktor Dejardin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KFC Melkwezer's Dany Vermeulen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
