Baran Taykut was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 34th minute. Ecaussinnes's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Oliver Van Linthaut didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecaussinnes. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kamiel Van Craesbeeck during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kamiel Van Craesbeeck kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Arnaud De Werdt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jasper Van der Vorst charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee ignored Galatasaray A.S.'s protests and gave Jorge Van Linthaut a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baran Taykut in the 95th minute of play forced Galatasaray A.S.'s goalkeeper Oliver Van Linthaut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
