The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aineffe's Gilliam De Koning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnny Van den Sande in the 57th minute of play. Gilliam De Koning showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Wuets, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Kerkbrugge's zone, Oscar Schrevens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Vermeesch came out of the goal and Oscar Schrevens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gilliam De Koning came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Kerkbrugge's David Wuets. But to his dismay, David Wuets quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After having played for 64 minutes, Alain Allaert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kerkbrugge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alain Allaert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th play minute Oscar Schrevens came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Diego Vermeesch. 3-2. When Wilfried Lembrechts came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Aineffe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfried Lembrechts couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Kerkbrugge fully deserved thier win.
