Ronaldinho Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Izak Van Leempten in the 9th minute of the match. Diego Vermeesch made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Lieven Van den Enden sent off a good shot on target. Tommy Ronsman struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Diego Vermeesch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Hamont-Achel. After 19 played minutes KFC Hamont-Achel got a freekick which was hit by Pierre-Alexandre Vincx. If Lieven Van den Enden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 played minutes KFC Hamont-Achel got a freekick which was hit by Lieven Van den Enden. Pierre-Alexandre Vincx charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pierre-Alexandre Vincx the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, KFC Hamont-Achel's Pierre-Alexandre Vincx got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute, Lieven Van den Enden reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Diego Vermeesch. The goal made the score 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tommy Ronsman in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diego Vermeesch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lieven Van den Enden scored 3-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diego Vermeesch, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, KFC Hamont-Achel's Diego Vermeesch threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tommy Ronsman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when David Wuets made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Tommy Ronsman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 52nd minute, Kerkbrugge's Izak Van Leempten ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ronaldinho Taffarel. Ronaldinho Taffarel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. In the 62nd minute, Kerkbrugge's Antonio Huvenaerts seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Antonio Huvenaerts the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Kerkbrugge protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Antonio Huvenaerts had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 64th minute there was a penalty for KFC Hamont-Achel. Melquiades Oriol stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Diego Vermeesch. 4-1. Wesly Vanneste hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Diego Vermeesch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Ronsman in the 70th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Kerkbrugge's goal looked a bit too open when Pierre-Alexandre Vincx came free, but Diego Vermeesch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronaldinho Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alain Allaert in the 73rd minute of play. Kerkbrugge's Diego Vermeesch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lieven Van den Enden in the 82nd minute of play. Pierre-Alexandre Vincx took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diego Vermeesch. Diego Vermeesch dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Diego Vermeesch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre-Alexandre Vincx in the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Pierre-Alexandre Vincx ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diego Vermeesch was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. In the 89th match minute, KFC Hamont-Achel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lieven Van den Enden to maneuver through the defense. Diego Vermeesch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Ronsman in the 92nd minute of play. Kerkbrugge's Diego Vermeesch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Claessens in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Lieven Van den Enden made a precise shot to the right of Diego Vermeesch. Kerkbrugge's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. KFC Hamont-Achel walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
